The very first Guests to arrive, very promptly (11am, on the dot), were one of the first residents of the quarters - Mrs & Mr Krishnaswamy (Deepa's parents) - they lived in C-7 and left the quarters in 1979 !!!!!
Then they started to come and came and came and came; we had Ajay (DRL Setty) to Dr K V Devraj (Former VC), Amitha (K T Shivashankar) to Dr Mangala Nagabhushan and Dr Kailas to Mala Krishappa (Former Registrar), the Professors, the Administrators, their children, their grand children and maybe a couple of their great grand children too !!!!!
We played games, running races, walking races and passing the ball - we did it so much and so hard, imagine, if we could get Padmashree Sastry to faint; we were wishing they never stopped, we wish we had more time.
We then had a great meal - Bisi bele bath, bhoondi, rice, rasam, pallya, happala, curd, pickle, bele payasa; tea, coffee, Cocum juice, fritters, masala vada were provided prior to and post lunch.
Then there was a round of Housie-housie, like we did, everytime, those days !!
The UAS Campus teachers were felicitated, a small round of Prize distribution (two former Vice Chancellors (Dr R N Srinivas Gowda and Dr K V Devraj shared the stage to distribute the Chocolates set up as prizes) for those who won races, fund raising for the Old teachers welfare fund - brought in a whopping Rs.22,000.
It all ended with a lot of Nostalgic reminisces - the doctors, lawyers, software professionals, consultants, businessmen and women all shed their professional decorations and behaved like the same campus kids - they almost hid behind their (and our) parents - had to be seen to be comprehended !!!!!

Loved the photos. I convinced myself that I recognized a few. Would not have survived the event without nametags. Glad to hear that everyone enjoyed the photos that Tarak sent.
